Omega-3 can reduce the risk of developing endometriosis
Endometriosis is a condition found in women where tissue that makes up the womb lining (endometrium) is found outside the womb, such as in the ovaries and fallopian tubes, the outside of the womb, the bowel or bladder, and the inside of the abdominal lining.
It is one of the main causes of female infertility, affecting up to 60% of infertile women.
Some of the best supplements for endometriosis include resveratrol, which is the pigment in red grape skins, turmeric and of course the long chain fatty acids, found predominantly in fish oil, one teaspoon of fish oil a day, derived from small fish low in the food chain, and meticulously filtered for contaminants contains the ideal daily dosage of omega-3.
Fish oils promote the release of highly anti-inflammatory compounds that have a distinct biological action on the pain and clotting associated with endometriosis and subsequently on fertility.
